• Congratulations to Doug Reichert Sensei for receiving his 5th Dan promotion from The Doshu at Aikikai Headquarters in Tokyo, Japan. Jan, 2019
• Congratulations to both Leanne and Gillian for reaching 4th Dan and 3rd Dan, respectively. They both tested in San Leandro in front of Hendricks Shihan and a large group of fellow practitioners. They made our dojo proud. Aug, 2018
• Tai Sai Celebration - Apr 27th. We are honoring the memory of O’Sensei with demonstrations, testing and a party.
• Kangeiko - Jan 21 to 27. Winter intensive training is coming soon.
• Uchi Deshi in California - Robin will be a long term (4 months) uchi deshi for Hendricks Shihan. Starting in February.
• Hendricks Shihan in Guelph, ON - Jun 2&3. Several of us will be making a road trip to attend.
• Kangeiko - Jan. 21 - 27, 2018. Get ready for a week of Winter Intensive Training at the dojo.

• Minnesota Seminar - Mar 29 & 30. Thanks to the Minnesota Aiki Shuren dojo for hosting a great event, as always.
• Kangeiko - Several of us trained hard every day for the week of that cold winter training.
• Promotions: - Doug Sensei and Leanne Sensei were both promoted to Yondan and Sandan, respectively. Congratulations to both of them!
• Xmas Dinner & Keiko - Climbing at Vertical Adventures and a pot luck back at the dojo afterwards.
• New Year’s Eve Keiko - Bring in the New Year with the last class of this year. Starts at 9:00 pm.
• Kangeiko - Jan 26th to Feb 1st.  A week of daily intensive training. Classes are set for both mornings and evenings every day of the week. Come out a train hard.

• Minnesota Aikido Seminar - Mar 31 to Apr 1. The annual pilgrimage down to St. John’s University.
• Leanne & Ralph as Uchi Deshi - Feb 18th to 27th. They will be with Pat Sensei down in San Leandro, CA for some intensive training. Doug Sensei is joining them on Feb 23rd.
• Kyu Testing - Friday, Feb 17th.  Congratulations to Stephen on becoming a yellow belt.
• Kangeiko - Our annual week of winter intensive training begins on Sunday, Jan. 29th from 2:00 - 4:00 pm. There will be morning classes at 6:30 to 7:30 Monday to Friday.
• Xmas party - Sunday, Dec. 18th. We’re starting with a pot-luck brunch at 10:30am and then some Archery.
• Fern is our latest Gokyu. He has a blackbelt in Karate and now a yellow belt in Aikido.
• Madeleine is Sankyu!  On Sep. 30, Madeleine performed very well and now wears a green belt. Way to go!
• Toby tested for the rank of Nidan!! Congratulations Toby!
• Weapons practice in the Assiniboine Park - starting on May 18th, and every 2nd Wednesday through the summer we practice weapons in the Assiniboine Park around the Formal Gardens.
• Pat Hendricks Sensei in Winnipeg - Jul 16th & 17th, 2011.  An incredible seminar with a bunch of awesome people.
• Spring Cleaning - May 14th ... time to get into the corners and dust out the cobwebs.
• Tai Sai - Apr 29th, 2011.  Kyu testing and black blet demonstrations in honor of O’Sensei. Party to happen after the activities.
• Minnesota Aiki Shuren Dojo Spring Seminar - Apr 2nd & 3rd, 2011. Seven from Winnipeg made the annual trek to St. Cloud, MN. It was a great seminar with the proceeds going to help Shibata Sensei in Japan.
• Workshop on the Uchi Deshi Experience - Mar 13th, 2011.  The dojo is holding a workshop from 1:00 to 3:00 pm on the training and experience of those that went to San Leandro.
• Kyu Testing - Friday, Feb 18th, 2011.
• Uchi Deshi - The bi-annual trek to Aikido of San Leandro is scheduled for Feb 19th to Mar 1st, 2011.
• Kyu Testing - Friday, Jan 14th, 2011.
• Kangeiko - Jan 9th to 15th, 2011 - Kangeiko is “cold training.” This is our 6th annual week of intensive training to start off the year. Come out and take the challenge to make it to every class this week.
• Xmas Party - Sunday, Dec 19th, 2010. Come for some winter fun - meet at The Forks at 3pm for skating; reservations at The Spaghetti Factory at 4:30pm for food and drink.

• MS Bike Tour - August 25 & 26, 2007 - Doug Sensei and his wife, Debbie, are participating in the fund raising event for Multiple Sclerosis.  It’s a 170 km bicycle ride over two days to raise money for MS.  This will be Debbie’s 8th time and Doug Sensei’s 7th.
• Picnic in the Park - the 3rd annual picnic in the park.  An afternoon at the Assiniboine Park for food, socializing, and baseball.  Sunday, August 12, 2007.
